I am a survivor of Lightworker Syndrome, not yet fully cured but well on the way.
Fear of success is a big part of it. Lightworkers also tend to be deeply sensitive without knowing how to protect themselves. It was a long time before I would even consider becoming vulnerable and opening up on stage, which is absolutely required for touching an audience.
Admittedly, my life has changed very positively since confronting my fears. It is worth it and, like you say, our responsibility.
