AO,
If we follow and/or believe that nothing outside of awareness exists, then something can only exist if we become aware of it.
So in answer to your question, my past posts do not exist until they are brought into awareness
for a reason. We only bring things into existance for a reason, nothing is random, nothing, everyhing has purpose otherwise you wouldn't have made it real.

If I have an appointment, say a court date, does it not exist if I refuse to observe it and bring it into my awareness?

This question contradicts itself a little. You are aware of the court date, you observe it so it exists, so to have it not exist, you must stop observing it,
BUT (and it's a big but

) you cannot uncreate something created. You can't say "I created this, now I'll uncreate it" what you have to do, is the moment something is created and you don't like it, you must created something that makes the first thing better or more acceptable.
If you run over someone in your car, you can't uncreate that (while feasible on a conscious level to uncreate it somehow it creates massive instability in the simulation) so what you would have to do is create something that makes that first creation acceptable.
We have to accept everything we create, most of it is instantly created right now, the trick is to realise you've created it, take responsibility for it and say "right I created this crap, I'm going to create something great" like I said above, I believe we can create
anything but we have to be careful that while creating
anything we maintain the stable reality.
I consider that nothing is impossible, but everything created must be justified by a human observer otherwise the whole thing would probably collapse.
Consciounsess isn't looking for perfection, it wants to enjoy imperfection and that means experiencing the good, bad and ugly, while at the same time pushing the boundries to the limit without ruining the game.
All we are ever doing is having an experience on our way back to perfection.
