Hi, I think that you should tell them, and just say that, it is the impression that they are giving you. You should not help them to keep up their delusions, it is more helpful - to teach them a lesson. it is one of kindness, as it will make them see the truth!
Also I am thinking that you change planes, as it is a form of spiritual defense, sometimes, when people send out negs, all the spiritual part of us wants to do is run away, or avoid, deflect etc, this is what I see is happening here
