Surely with bitterness there is peace
On the day of the gathering
Before I came to address the public
I had to take my standing – to balance my stride,
I came before them with pride
With a light shining through my heart
The light emanated and shone in all angles
then the darkness was no more
The crowd were dazzled; they gave a roar
I looked towards the sky,
Feeling on top of the world,
Then I took out the bitter pills –
And scattered them among the crowds
Swallow it whole,
Swallow it all
Forget the distaste
Forget it in its place –
because…
Surely, with bitterness there is peace;
Surely, with difficulty there is ease.
