In case this thread is still read, I'd throw in a question as well:
I am very interested in getting into a biphasic sleep rythm (4.5/1.5 would be great). I do absolutley see how this can work with a regular schedule. But how do I proceed with a rotating shift rythm? Unfortunately, that's my situation right now. My work times switch between three different shifts. Work times are 6-14 / 14-22 / 22-6 . The first (day) shift seems easy as my preferred sleep times would be 0030-0500 and 1730-1900. But how do I go about the other shifts? Nap at 1200 on the 14-22 days? And how in the world can I include sleep times on the night shifts?
Does anybody have experience with fluctuations like these?
