May I suggest a book which meant a great deal to me? It's called "Gifts From The Sea" by Anne Morrow Lindberg. Not long at all, it's a warm, beautifully written book that I've read over and over again. My copy is literally dog-eared.
In it she says, "One is free, like the hermit crab, to change one's shell."
