Unfortunately, most of us have been taught since birth that money is a result of hard work when the reality is that money should be a result of smart work.
It doesn't matter how much time or effort is put into a business, whether at startup or on a daily basis - if a sincere service or product, something of high value, is being provided then the income will follow.
Another thing I learned is that people get uncomfortable when others around them are going after their dreams because it forces them to take a good look at themselves and question why they are settling in life. Most people are unwilling to look inside and take that responsibility head on, and therefore they try to pull others who are moving forward back down to their level.
