| Why the lack of discussion on NLP? This is what NLP has done for me.
I'm new here and really enjoy this site. There's numerous threads that are of great interest to me. I've been into self-help and personal development for some time now. I achieved positive results after reading self-help books and listening to some audio programs; however, those results pale in comparison to what NLP has done for me. "Emotional Mastery" is the title of this forum followed by the following:
"Emotional intelligence, addiction and recovery, grieving, loss, fear, anger, guilt, resentment, frustration, anxiety, depression, happiness, joy, love, kindness, forgiveness, self-acceptance, confidence, escaping the pit of despair, EFT"
Through NLP, I gained emotional intelligence. I overcame my addictions to drugs, quit smoking. I finally got over negative energies that lingered in my life for so long: bitterness, anger, resentment, guilt, regrets. I learned to freely and fully forgive others sincerely. I overcame envy/jealousy and now rejoice in other people's prosperity. I experienced happiness & love, sweet feelings I've never felt for the longest time. I saw myself in an entire new light and never felt more at peace. There's more that don't come to mind at the moment. NLP cleansed me of negative energy and put positive energy in it's place.
I have cried tears of joy for the first time in my life. NLP is literally the best thing that has happened to me. And this is the reason it comes as a surprise that there is lack of discussion on NLP (Although browsing numerous threads, I did come across a few threads of advice that were clearly NLP based.) I conducted a search and less than ten threads generated.
It trips me out how I realized the power of NLP. You see, it was years ago when I first came across NLP in Tony Robbin's "Awaken the Giant Within" (it's referred to as NAC in that book; wish I hadn't brushed off PD back then). "Visualizing Mickey Mouse ears and Pinocchio noses on people who upset you? Running things backward/forward? Movie music? What the hell is this hokey-pokey far out crap?" I thought. It wasn't until more than a decade later when I experienced the power of NLP firsthand.
I went through a traumatizing event that really messed with my head. For over a year and a half, I was suffering emotionally. I constantly relived the event, experiencing the fear, anxiety, and pain over and over again. "Almost two years and it's still ****ing with me to this magnitude?!" I thought, "Isn't time supposed to heal? I'm losing my ****ing mind." I tried all I can to overcome this, but nothing worked.
Now, I don't recall exactly how elements of the "Scramble Pattern" in "Awaken the Giant Within" came to mind. It seems to have lingered in the back of my mind after all these years I guess; it just happened to spontaneously come to mind, out of the blue. And when it came to me, I started implementing those elements into the traumatizing memories of the event. AMAZINGLY, I overcame the event within one day. I was completely free. Rather than feel the fear, anxiety, and pain that's been torturing me, I would laugh about the event. Yes, I would literally laugh about the event. In fact, I'm thinking about the event right now and I'm laughing.
Now here's the part that really trips me out: I consider that event to be a blessing in disguise! It baffles me how something good could actually come out of something so bad. If it weren't for that event happening, I would have never experienced how powerful and effective NLP was. Hence, I would have never became an NLP junkie and in turn I would have never gained the NLP tools necessary to gain emotional mastery.
If you want to change any of the following in your life:
"Emotional intelligence, addiction and recovery, grieving, loss, fear, anger, guilt, resentment, frustration, anxiety, depression, happiness, joy, love, kindness, forgiveness, self-acceptance, confidence, escaping the pit of despair, EFT"
...then I know that you will benefit from NLP. If you have any questions on specific patterns I used for whatever it is you have in mind, feel free to ask. Thank you for reading.
