I am not one to hold to quotes because there are misleading and always out of context (because the real and big story behind it isn't told or put aside to make a catchy sentence). However I have some quotes I do find valuable, but there are really anchored in the everyday no-believe/reality world.

"Needs of the many outweighs the needs of the few or the one" - Star Trek, when Spock (a major character) chooses to sacrifice himself in order to save a spaceship and its crew by switching off a valve in a highly poisonous environment. Mind it says the needs and not the desires.

"Hope for the best, prepare for the worst." Self explanatory. Not from a movie but quite valuable (I think I heard it in ST-Ent).

"Trust no one" - From X-Files but I learned to appreciate it on the relational level.

"You see, seņorita, mystery is important. To know everything, to know the whole truth, is dull. There is no magic in that. Magic is not knowing, magic is wondering about what and how and where." - Can you find the source of this one ?

"Three things can not hide for long: the Moon, the Sun and the Truth"

And my favourite:
"This preciouse and savage life." - I couldn't remember the source for the life of me.
