The bible is all ABOUT such changes, and you'll need to study it yourself. Many of us are presenting appropriate verse, but it's important to know that the bible teachings have no fewer than three meanings each...often many more. And ALL of the meanings are to be considered. It's not a simple book to read in a few sittings: you need to ponder, point by point, what is being said. It is extremely useful to understand that despite its antiquity, the bible is about
you, personally. When you begin reading it in such a manner, insights come gushing forth. Yes: Jesus is your spiritual ideal on its spiritual journey. The devil and all the other "bad guys" are interactions with your own character traits, beleifs and thought-processes. Many of the stories, parables and narratives are how the processes can be handled in effective ways, on the way to higher learning and being.
