Regarding the solstice meditation infor...I recieved this PM on my forum (and was given permission to post it):

This may sound like a silly question Roy, but is this possible for me to do or is this beyond my capabilities at the moment?
My reply:

Yes, it IS possible for you to do. And you need to do it the only way you know how, because the universe is not expecting any ritual from you, Lee: it only requires you to be yourself.

Actually, your spiritual growth is well under way...your recovery is part of that path. The important provision? ...Of OUR understanding. Your thoughts are understood by higher powers better than you understand them! So you aren't required to change dramatically or perform somersaults in the park fountain to "prove" yourself...just keep being you.

Did you understand your little girl when she was 3? The words weren't formal and perfect, but you knew what she was communicating. The universe sees you with just such understanding and Love, Lee. Regardless of self-esteem issues, we are all loved as that child is loved by us.

As you keep trying to work your sobriety and spiritual condition, you will natural change, there's no need for hurry. So simply take the time each day to think about being open to whatever powers are rightfully yours, and a prayerful attitude.

All of us worry about worthiness to God and what we perceive ourselves as nothing worth God's attention.. I remind you of the Christmas song "Little Drummer Boy". You might do well to think about the words and meaning to that song.

You're a lot like that.

Blessings~ Roy
Rezzy, this is an interesting point to ponder (and, mind you, often our psychic abilities come through our humor):
Quote:
Out of optical range, but what about elbow range? I won't bump into them if I can't see them, right, because that would be weird.
Consider how many of us are reporting flashes of light, hearing voices (I was awakened this morning by my name being audibly called to me) and occassionally DO feel a slight bump.

This indicates precisely the frequencies being meshed, for better or for worse. When you consider a close look at the color spectrum, the transition from one color to the next range isn't a sharp line; it's a subtle change in that direction.

All of us have or are experiencing these sort of silly thoughts, but it's important to play them out and address them. The objective is to not get ourselves immersed in so many trivial details that we forget why we're here.

N64 makes some wonderful insights clear in this post from another thread:
Quote:
A starting place that benefited me was gaining insights about my thoughts and feelings, seeing that they arise and disappear by their own accord and our sense of "self" is what holds on to these mental impulses and builds a life out of it.
Each of us will have silly questions, like kids do, and while many of them are valid (lovingly show the child there are no monsters under the bed, or evict the monster) they can be deliberate distractions.

We also tend to use this world's experience to grasp an idea of the next world's experience. But this means we become interested in setting up bank accounts there, and where the best bargains are, and who to vote for in the 4th dimension. Projecting this world into the next is an innocent mistake to be avoided.
