There’s no “better luck next time,” the next time is now. It is a sign which says, “Try to find a positive in every experience you perceive as not so positive or negative.”

So instead of saying and thinking “It's kind of disappointing to see it be a fraud because it was a nice chunk of change I could use to pay off college.”

Say and think something like, “Wow, I’m happy that I found out it to be a fraud. If I would have acted on this email, I would have lost money and then would feel terrible about it. I choose to think about this experience as ‘found money,' because I came very close to actually losing money.”
