Yes, that's the ones. I thought you talked about them in the first post, didn't you?

I am amazed , but encouraged, that you can access them so readily. I have not been able to achieve that yet.
It has taken me an intense two-day Core Transformation seminar with a very good coach at a wildlife retreat to reach the states for the frist time. But once I had access It was easier afterwards.

I have tried NLP anchoring and no such luck. As a matter of fact just about all of my NLP anchor seem to fall apart when I try to fire them when facing an unresourceful state. The unresourceful states seems to overpower them.
Remember, that your anchor has to be more powerful than the negative situation. It means powerful like crazy. NLP usually deals with therapeutic session, when a patient experienses memories of a negative event. If you are in a middle of the real problem it takes a very powerful anchor to overcome it.
And it has to be reproduced exactly.

I am have been completely unable anchor a core state. I seem to need the entire procedure to reproduce it.

Your core states must be pretty intense. When I have achieved them I have felt a loving, peaceful oneness and feeling of euphoria but never to the degree that I would be afraid to cause harm to myself. To me, it feels wonderful but I am still in control of all my faculties--- just extreme oneness.
I have my version of oneness as well. The thing is at the seminar we learned to first access the state, then increase its intensity like a said 400%. This allows to break the illusion that first assess was the real core state. Ha! Afterwards it is perceived as a mere shadow. Oneness at 400% (or 1000% if you wish) is so deep that one doesn't have any desire whatsoever to comeback. It never happened, but breathing can slow down to a dangerous level, so extra caution is needed.

This may be the reason why your anchors are not working. You might be anchoring the low-intensity version of the core state.
You might need to notch it up a little. Do you know adrenalin barometer technique from NLP? The same method can be used to control any state.
