The ability to create passion whenever you like is a tool that can help you to be more effective... Using passion to do something is a little like using a power tool to cut lumber... you can accomplish whatever it is that you are doing much faster and more effectively...
And for those who are worried that "fake passion" as you call it... is not genuine... let me tell you this... being a person who can create passion at will certainly is genuine and that quality is the only one that will allow you to soar with the eagles...
If you don't believe that... show me someone who has succeeded without being passionate...
