I'm doing an easier version of polyphasic sleeping-3 hour core and then 3 or 4 twenty minute naps at random times. This is what I would call the most convenient schedule, yet probably one of the harder ones to adapt to because the mini-nap times are not set. Basically, this allows me ultimate convenience because I can just fit in a twenty minute nap wherever I need without having the absolute need to do it once every 4 hours, and still get 3 hours of solid core sleep every night.

Benefits (I'm hoping):
-Solve the problem of taking 20-30 minutes to fall asleep
-Ultimate flexibility during college to fit a variety of schedules and appointments.
-4 hours more time per day
-A consistent sleep pattern that can be maintained all the time that my body can really get used to. Before, especially with biphasic patterns, my sleep pattern would get disrupted at least twice a week.

Downsides:
-May take longer to get used to.
-Still have the inconvenience of needing a minimum of 3 naps throughout the day.
-Possible loss of energy
-Other downsides of polyphasic sleeping that haven't been discovered??

I'll keep you guys posted and good luck to you Dr. Gonzo, I'll be checking your blog.
