Are you working long shifts at a job you don't like? I am doing exactly that right now, and these are the things that have helped me:
1. Living healthfully, of course. You'll want to be in the best shape mentally and physically.
2. Presence. So much of the time that I'm wanting to leave my job, it isn't because it's hard, but because I'd rather be somewhere else. But if I live just for the moment, then it isn't so bad. In fact, the present moment is almost never bad, no matter what is happening or has happened. Why do we dread the future? It is not because of the bad things in the future, but the good things in the future. We are dissatisfied with the present and are afraid that something will sabotage the joy we have stored up in the imaginary 'tomorrow'. If we would simply move our joy back to the present, then it wouldn't matter if tomorrow is going to suck, because Right Now does not suck.
I can't give you any practical advice on how to do this, because I haven't entirely learned it myself.
