No. It had to be India. Apparently, it was the new thing that was in and people in India were spending mega sums of money to include this sound in their music.
So, I'm at India, and I'm leaving the airport with this Indian man. He seems to be like my guide for the country. Quite like a movie, the view pans back when I exit the airport to show something that's more like an ancient, unusual form of India.
I'm walking along this pathway with this guide, which is like a mini 'Wall of China', and there are lots of other people walking there too. It seems to be the way you have to go before you can still, officially, enter the country.
I ask this guide about the reality of the dangers of this place, and he clarifies that I could end up dying here.
Ahead of me is a large group of these buddhist monks with their hands in prayer, and they're carrying prayer beads. It further reminds me that I'm an outsider to this foreign place, though there is one man like me in front. That man is then stopped by security, who wish to check his passport. Being the foreigner here, I knew security would check me too, so I open my jacket ready to allow him to take my passport from my pocket, which he does. Inside my passport, I have more passport identity photos, which he takes out and makes the point that they should be removed. He investigates my passport, then lets me through.
Anyway, I'm finally getting near the end of the path, when the door knocking wakes me up. It would have been interesting to see where this dream would have taken me. I know the details are minimal, but is there any possible meaning behind this dream? |
You have quite a symbolic dream here, it's actually quite fascinating.
You are on the right track with your interpretation, there are however two main parts of your dream that stand out to me the most. The first was your reluctance to go to 'India' and the second was the whole passport thing.

A relative wanted me to go to India

A 'relative' in your dreams can correspond to anything from actual family members all the way to representations of people who your subconscious mind is trying to make you feel as if you know them. Sometimes guides also look like 'family members' in dreams, until you wake up and realize 'oh wait.. I don't have an uncle Johnny?". In any case this relative was trying to push you a certain direction and we need to take note of that.
'India' can mean a whole variety of things. In your dream I feel it represents the land of mysticism and knowledge. It is the country where practices such as yoga and meditation originated. I feel the representation of what the country means is more important than the actual country itself. Meaning 'India' represents the attainment of a higher form of spiritual power from a far away place.

so I could record some music with this new sound

Unless you're a record artist, I believe this is a direct correlation with finding your internal sound. The sound of life and more importantly the sound of enlightenment.

This is a internal defense mechanism that arises when you play with the thought of moving out of your comfort zone. You seem to have already interpreted this part.

Your internal is now creating the most perfect excuse to not move out of your comfort zone, even if that means not reaching a state of ultimate learning and enlightenment or finding your inner sound.

In order to maintain a realistic dream scenario, your subconscious mind then directly averted the reason for your travel with the most lucrative response of money or the attainment of wealth. However when I delve into this further it also suggests that 'wealth' may not necessarily mean physical wealth, but the abundance of people in 'India' who recognize spiritual wealth as being the true identity of a person. It is one of the few countries that nurtures such a talent.

This part sounds so kewl, just makes me want to fly to India...
It is also suggesting that it does not want to show you the actual India more so the fact the ancient Spiritual India.

The pathway of your Destiny. The Pathway to the Light. The road less travelled. The Highway to your Soul. Take your pick. Walking along your spiritual pathway, you will always find all kinds of other souls walking along that very path as well. There are people in this world who are so similar to you, but you will never meet in the physical life. On a spiritual level they all move together.

You guide gives you the most absolute worse scenario when you ask this question. I do not believe the death he is referring to is on a physical plain. I believe he is describing your spiritual death. A fate worse than death where you no longer believe what you are doing, where you are going, or why. A state where your soul is lost. The only solution is to always stay grounded, move forward at your own pace, and never let the fear of God leave you. Trust your intuition, and you will never end up in such a limbo.

I love this part with all the monks. As if you are following their spiritual journey as well.
One thing you have to remember is that in the Kingdom of God there is no such thing as being a foreigner. I mean what the hell is a foreigner? We are all one. No matter where you come from or what you do, the spiritual journey has no bounds and no physical limitations. We are born into both sides of the story at one point or another. Don't ever forget that.

This is a very important part of your dream.
Your passport can be directly interpreted as your identity. A book that contains all your personal information, including your exact image. These people checking your identity then noticed you have to many photos. This is highly suggestive that you are not concentrating on one aspect in your life. You are however cluttering your life with multiple 'identities' or spiritual practices that are hindering your ability to master the one most important aspect. You need to learn to focus on what is most important to you.
These spiritual security guards realized this, uncluttered it for you, then let you through.
You are on the right track with your thinking, you also however need to concentrate on the fact the spiritual enlightenment won't come by sitting in your comfort zone. Sometimes the most important aspects of life are learnt by effectively leaving what is familiar with us and embracing the new.
Spiritual journeys must be taken alone. No family members, friends or anybody else to try and comfort you. Don't be afraid to grasp what is most important to you when you feel the need to. If that comes with the possibility of spiritual death, then so be it. If it means travelling to the other side of the planet, then so be it. Sometimes those closest to you will relay your very own fears (as they are very similar to you) and hinder you from moving on.
This dream is also suggesting that you are cluttering your life with to many things. They don't necessarily have to be spiritual things, but things nonetheless. You need to figure out what your true path most needs. You then have to focus all of your energy on that one path. Don't feel as if you need to take on too many things at once. Rome wasn't built in a day. Please remember that we come back here more than once to complete our lessons.
The fact that this dream was shown to you, means you are on the right path of thinking. With a little emotional refinement you could very well be on your way to much more exciting things.
