You are already paying taxes for everything (roads, schools, hospitals, museums,...)
What is specific is that US citizens are paying extra Federal tax that is actually not even legally approved.. imagine if you payed European tax by decree? You are already paying exorbitant UK tax and now put on that EU tax..
I have relatives in UK and they are not happy that from their tax money live hundreds of thousand of immigrants that are there only because of the social paycheck that don't contribute almost nothing to economy excerpt of producing future low class workers that are already surpassed by today's standards (with few exceptions of highly educated and motivated people that will contribute to UK economic growth)
Most of today taxes go back to repayment of "debt"..
