I`m sorry Susan Louise

----

i was told that when a large dog attacks you (really attacks, not just scaring) and you dont have much to do (dont have a bat etc) then you have to show your fist down its throat. dogs have very sensitive nose/mouth area and when you hurt that then they go into shock.

i hope none of us will ever have to use that method.

this of course doesnt help much when you`re being attacked by a pack...

----

i have discovered also that most of the time you can scare dogs off by just standing your ground, refusing to back down and making noise (yelling).

i was walking my dog one day when a mastiff came busting through a fence, he literally BROKE the fence and was about to attack us.... i dont know what came over me but i stopped, pulled my dog to a halt (she was on a leash) and just screamed at the dog to get the **** back... he stopped and ran back to his yard.... i think i even scared my own dog because she was staring at me like i was crazy, lol.

i was very surprised at my reaction as i usually am also very afraid of dogs i dont know and try to flee... plus this one was on attack mode... i guess my body knew better than me what to do and took care of the situation.

OP- if you own a cellphone then try calling someone to distract you when you`re passing a pack of stray dogs.
