I really acknowledge the amazing love and dedication of the Japanese to come together in a spirit of harmony and community. In spite of food/water/gas shortages, travel restrictions, rolling blackouts, nuclear difficulties, etc, there are no reports of looting/violence, and many instances of helping others, even when they themselves have little to spare and are living in extreme circumstances.
This incredible demonstration is testimony to Japanese consciousness and generosity, and we are grateful for the reminder as it can help us see a different way of being, especially in harsher conditions.
My hope is that as we see this from around the world, we will be inspired and so touched by the selfless acts of kindness, that we choose to see ourselves and others more clearly, recognizing that everyone and everything is sacred, and that our thoughts, feelings and actions will follow to make a similar positive impact on our family and communities. Watching a group of people with so much love and consciousness for others, can create such a shift for the rest of us - I hope we have the awareness to let us be impacted and shifted by this.
