The thing with waking up and sleeping in dreams is weird isn't it?
You wake every time up or sleep in a different version of your bedroom, which can be very different versions, like some kind of cycle, this can go really deep and you can get rarely lost for few minutes if you overdo it, I personally call this "CORRIDOR", you can make there weird experiences, mostly facing subconscious fears or talking to persons
If you wake up for example at 6am, lie 1 hour in your bed because of some noises and you drift slowly back into sleep it will be sometimes nearly impossible to sleep in without projecting or at least being lucid.
If you want to have very long lucid dreams or Astral Projection experiences, this is for Beginners the easiest way to do, the REM phase kicks in instantly and it last very long.
Let us know, what's happening!

Very interesting!! This corridor effect is EXACTLY what happened to me. I would consciously sit up in my own body, project, and in each of these episodes I met a new entity. One was a very frightening red man, although I don't remember feeling scared when he picked me up...just shocked. He picked me up by the shoulders practically shouting in my face in another language that he was my guide, but I recognized the voice from an experience that scared the holy hell out of me years ago. Then after he was done and put me down, I felt myself "losing it" per say but then thinking I kept control, but it became a very fun lucid dream full of traveling the world! lol.
The next time, after waking up and going back in again, I projected, met a man who said he was my guide who looked like a mixture of Heman and Chuck Norris in ancient Roman looking clothing with a blonde chili bowl haircut and who also explained that the red man who scared me was NOT my guide and that I needed to get rid of him. He hugged me and I went into him, then he disappeared...then another lucid dream.
Then wake up...project and I met a blue horned fellow with a tail and animal legs...lol. He was funny and jumping around, acting like a joker, trying to convince me that he was there to help as well. However, I knew better and when I told him that, he disappeared. Then another lucid dream.
So meeting the "entities" I think may have been lucid dreaming as well, although I know I was constantly looking back at my bed to see if I was there during this time, especially when I was being harrassed by the red dude.
Is this the type of situation you mean by corridor?
