You should be very alert when you ask for interpretations and impressions of the MBTI model online. There are all kinds of people out there styling themselves as coaches because they have understood the MBTI at a superficial level and/or derive their entire knowledge on the MBTI system from their personal experiences, that is, one or two real life examples of each type.

What's worse, even the authorized MBTI coaches do not always understand the system to perfection. A pop quiz regarding Jungian function hierachy indicated that even trained and certified practitioners didn't know all the data that they were supposed to first hand.

Self-esteem lies essentially outiside of the MBTI-system and confidence is mainly derived from self-esteem. However, if you really want to use the MBTI for something in this regard I recommend that you use it as an indicator of agreeableness in a given person where F and P are the properties that make a type more agreeable and T and J are properties that make a type less agreeable.
