The barrier islands off the coast of south carolina. Not the famous one (Hilton Head Island) but the smaller, lesser known ones. Fripp, Pawley's, Edisto. They're still rustic and somewhat undeveloped. You'll find no fast food places, maybe one grocery store on each island, one gas station and some great seafood restaurants. They're mostly populated with private homes which one rents by the week rather than hotels, motels and high-rise condos. It's like going back in time
