Living in Colorado, I know many people who want to live conscious, sustainable lives, including creating communities. We have major support for solar and wind power, electric cars, organic food, every kind of health/healing modality you can name. Most people do yoga like working out.
If we have a vision of who we want to be and how we want to live, I say embody that as much as we can. If we want to live in conscious community off the grid - great. If we want to make millions of dollars to help others - that's great too.
The main thing is that we are living from a stance of empowerment and not fear. I know one person who wants to hoard food and water for when times might get tough. What he doesn't realize is that his fear will create bigger problems than the food/water issues. If he can do it from a stance of abundance and wanting to be a resource for others, no problem because there is no conflict.
Our thoughts/feelings are really having an impact on our reality right now. I recommend getting very clear on our intentions for whatever we are doing. Is it fear based, or inspired? Don't make major decisions based on fear. Get to the root of what the issue is, resolve it, then make a more conscious choice.
