People often change their mind about killing themselves. Yesterday my dad told me a doctor had just spoken with him and let him know that people of his age and condition usually get 100% recovery within a year, so now he’s set on sticking it out.
Because of how easily a person may change his mind, I think it far better that someone opt to go without food and water for a week or two rather than taking poison or a bullet. It’s fairly peaceful, pain fades, and one is afforded time to reconsider. |
