I'll try to explain how to upload a picture for those who still don't get it. You don't need Photobucket to post a picture, but I think it is the easiest way.
First of all, in terms of Photobucket...I think it is misleading saying you need to
download or
'have it'. Photobuck is just a website with a big data base that allows you to store your pictures. It is not something you put on your computer. Just another website.
This means you can be anywhere with an Internet connection and still be able to access your pictures. You can then delete the uploaded pictures off of your computer if you want.
To upload and post your pictures to a thread like this, this is what you need to do...
Once you make your account (private or public), login and you will see this at the top of the screen.

Now decided what picture you want to post, make sure you know its location on your computer (you can click and drag it to your desktop to make it easier to find). Next, click Choose File; a finder screen will pop up. Find your picture and click choose. Now all you have to do is click upload, which takes anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes.
Once it finishes uploading, scroll down. This is where you can see all of your pictures. For each picture you uploaded you see this.
Double click in the URL box, which copies the URL for you.

Posting the picture...
Click reply to this thread, as you normally would. click on this button --
in the reply box. This screen will appear--

Paste the url of your selected picture into that window, click OK, and post.
