Well, it is actually pretty useful to have somewhere to store - as that is essentially what Photobucket is - your photgraphs.
Honestly, once you've done it you'll find lots of other uses for it later.
Remember we couldn't swim or ride a bike at one point and we could've said 'Not really worth it' and yet miss out on something. Your friends go on a bike ride or swim in the lake while you stay at home.
Do it once and it's behind you rather than have the frustration of not being able to post a picture for all eternity.
