Even if that particular instance was created by Steven Spielberg and a team from Industrial Light and Magic, it doesn't change the fact that there will be a major announcement about all of this. Are some sightings fake? Are some crop circles fake? Absolutely. And even if there is one hoax, it becomes easier to dismiss everything as a hoaxes.
Some people still won't believe it when the announcement is made. I don't have any stake in anyone's belief. My hope is that like you, everyone will have their own experience.
