John, thank you for sharing that story with us. As Shamou already said, it is very touching and I did relate to it.

Shamou, thanks for giving me the link to this thread. When I found Steve's article on helping negative people, I really was looking for ways to deal with the people in my life who ALWAYS play the victim, people who don't have a clue how to be anything BUT the victim. Looking at some of my friends and family, I see them mirroring to me the things I need to work on and this is one of my issues. I'm getting much better at taking responsibility, better at being accountable, but there's still work to be done.

Now.... hmmmm... Shamou, wanna tell me about the is cocky m.f. in the corvette? He sounds like he has an interesting story to tell.
