It's not ethical to spy on people without their permission. For me, it was just friends who wanted me to stop by. We played together astrally. I don't think I ever went to spy on anyone else.
One time, though, my friend who was very accomplished at projection set up a little trap for me because he knew I might be stopping by. As soon as I got to his room it was all dark and then there was this animal like thing with red glowing eyes growling at me. I got scared and returned to my body, hearing my friend chuckling at me as I left. He told me later he set up a "guard dog" to prevent me from coming into his room. He was successful! That keeps the spies out.
