This is interesting. I actually do use the 'I am not a guru' line on my about page. Makes me wonder if you've read my blog. The reason I say that is to be honest. I don't want people to think I have too high an opinion of myself. I write about self improvement, I'm only 23 and haven't done anything amazing with my life yet, so I think it's important to be humble up front. I also do it because I want to distance myself from the negative stigmas (at least in my mind) of the self help gurus like Tony Robbins.
