Raphael,
One thing you can do is start getting acquainted with your chakras. I'd recommend picking up Wheels Of Life by Anodea Judith. She's a key figure in the introduction of chakra lore and techniques in the West. It's got more info than you really need, but the thing is it's hard to know ahead of time which aspect of the chakras will resonate with you on a level that you can tune in to them. Each one is associated with a color, an element, a principal and more. The easiest way to get started is to pick the aspect that is easiest for you to hold in your mind.
Then take fifteen minutes and lie down in a comfortable position and, moving from root to crown, spend two minutes pointing your awareness to the physical region of each chakra while holding the chosen aspect of that chakra in your mind. Imagine that aspect residing within that zone of your body. Be aware of any sensations that arise while you do this, but don't let that distract your attention. Do every day and you will start to become aware of your chakras, which will begin to have an activating and balancing effect on them. That's a prerequisite to any more advanced energy work you may decide to take on anyway, so it's a perfect starting point.
Hope that helps,
Andy
