That's the question your higher self is asking that's prompting you to ask the question. Your higher self is saying, "Listen to me," and you're hearing that and asking us, "How?" Turn your attention back on the part of you that wants to know and listen to what it says next.
The thing is, we're talking about an ability that is intrinsic to you. You're not trying to call down celestial beings; you want to connect with an aspect of your own consciousness that is always present, always aware, always guiding. What could be more proactive than to start listening to what's already there? No expectations, no judgement, just listening to a part of you that's just waiting for you to start listening...
That said, Erin will surely post an excellent article that I will learn from as well. But in the meantime, what do you have to lose?
