 Tactics or Purpose
I agree with JBSMITH on finding purpose so you dont have to use tactics. BUT, I think JBSMITH AND several posters miss the point, viceversa is saying he is very unmotivated/lacking purpose. Many of you posting advice seem like pretty motivated individuals. You have to understand he is on a different level. He is saying not much motivates him or her. I think some light level tactics would be very helpful to start developing some habits of getting things done. There is a point of view that activity breeds motivation, not the other way around. And your purpose oriented motivation isnt the thing for a guy on the couch, struggling to do the simpliest task. If some tactics can help start the engine, and motivation comes once the engine is started......get that engine going and see where it takes you.
