Well, in my experiences helping others, Courage & authority go together.

1st. of all people I help guide know (being in my presence) that I have only their best-interest at heart. Intuitively, people can sense this, pretty quick. - This allows them to be comfortable, & trust me & the process just long enough, for them to experience the Happy & Healthy changes they want.
For example, when I worked with small children, (who medical-authorities had "trained" them into believing, that xyz-condition or disorder they would permanently suffer); but I knew better... - so as also another worker, but with Healing & Rejvenating beliefs & practices on board, they think of their own successes, & Helpers as being an authority. - In this sense, it's totally opposite

(from dis-empowering that happens, when people are told: "unfortunately, that's incurable; or
there is no chance; or it's hopeless; of the person is dying". All such are spoken by people who don't currently know better.)

But authority, is what someone grants you, by virtue of you blessing people, empowering them to REable themselves: be this anxiety/depression-FREE, cancer-FREE, diabetesing-FREE, heart diseasing-FREE, childbirth labor-FREE, pain-FREE. - People enjoying such outcomes will think of you as a trustworthy authority.

Does it take Courage, to swim outside the mainstream, & to fly like an eagle. - Yes, in some contexts it does.

Yet courageously it is also a blissful way to live
