I've had OBE's ever since I was a little girl and it's what actually got me interested in the paranormal. Once I got older and realized that it's not the 'norm', I began to be scared of them. I don't get them often anymore, but the occasional sleep paralysis and OBE's that it sometimes results in made me research it more to assure myself there is nothing to be scared of. The last time I had one, I think that my lack of fear allowed my state of mind to remain calm so that I did not have a terrifying experience, it was actually quite humorous (though nothing spectacular).
About 6 months ago my roommate went to take a nap and asked me to wake her by 4pm bc she had to be somewhere. I, myself, went to take a nap also. Then I woke up and realized that it was time to get her up. I jumped up, ran down the hall and knocked on her door. My hand was moving in slow motion, and although it connected with the door, it didn't actualll make a connection. There was no knocking noise, either.
This confused me and I looked back down the hall and noticed everything looked "dimmer" but normal. I then realized I was out of my body, but at the same time I could feel my body in the bed. I started laughing then, thinking "I forgot my body!". Immediately I was back in my body, jumped up and ran to her door and knocked for real the 2nd time.
