Default Similar symptoms

A few years ago I had similar symptoms and I would even get a kind of cramp except there was no pain, in one hand my thumb would be pulled inwards. I thought, suspected, I had something like a minor stroke but a few weeks later it happened to the other hand (meaning it was the other side of the brain, first the left brain, second time the right brain) which made me realize it was not a brain event.

Anyway, to try and cut this long story down a bit, I ended up moving, because my life was just too difficult.

After that move I realized, that I had been "Losing My Grip" on life.

Can you believe that? I was losing my grip, my own control of my own life (it took a major move to regain it) and the TRUE but difficult to accept LIFE situation was being communicated to me by this "message". Strange symtoms that have no conventional explanation are often like this - a metaphorical but physical representation of the actual life situation: In my case, just I was Losing Control and Grip on my own life so my symptom (quite dramatic to me) reflected that by my hands losing the ability to grip and being forced into a griplike distortion.

I also suspect the eye thing is the same kind of message because I get that too and I know from decades of this that as the twitches get worse so my INTERNAL STRESS LEVEL is higher.

Given this, I would suspect, but like others here I have no expertise beyond my own personal experience, that your boyfriend's SELF is signalling him that some things are not right in his life.

We tend to analyse our lives in a logical way but if the emotional estimation is contradictory then it will keep signalling, stronger and stronger until something changes.

I could add a lot more but I hope this much is helpful
