Chiropractor
Has he been to a chiropractor who does spine realignment adjustments. He could have minor or even serious subluxations of the spine. Our spines are designed to be perfectly aligned and placed like the structure of a perfectly made building. Losing feeling in the head and face is one of the symptoms having your back out of alignment.
My wife use to have severe migraine headaches for years and was taking Paxil. After a couple of months going to a chiropractor her headaches completely went away.
The great thing about going to a chiropractor therapist is they work your spine like you would tune a piano. They will not just crack your back for a one time feel good experience. Usually they adjust your spine by putting pressure on your back and twisting your legs and hips due to your exact subluxation. They of course do x-rays to diagnose what needs to be done. After a few months of therapy your back should be perfectly aligned. You may want to go every couple of months just to keep it in place. It wouldn't hurt for him to go get checked out.
