Things can only be perceived or comprehended against the background contrast of its opposite. Without experiencing cold, how would you ever know the warmth? Without experiencing the dark, you wouldn't be truly aware of the light. If you look at the world through a red lens, how will I ever show you the color blue?
Thus, we come to know that which we truly
are through that which we are
not.
This is the process of soul evolution. This is the process by which awareness becomes even
more aware.
