The answer to that question depends on your objective... and what it is that you want to develop... your physical capacity or your willpower...

If you are working on your willpower... knock yourself out and push to the limit...

However, if you are working on improving your physical capacities... any respectable coach will tell you that rest is every bit as important as exercises...

So, maybe, you should opt for a happy medium...

PS.- Leave that knuckle alone until it heals... in the meantime you can work on the sandbag with your feet... (kicking) ... and for god's sake... wear some shoes to do it...
