I’m really having problems with this TDOMF plugin (it allows anybody to register and create posts or pages on the blog) so if anybody else is familiar with it, here are my questions (This plugin is going to be a central theme to my site, so I can’t just deactivate it):
It says that there “MUST be a default author who must not have publish or edit abilities”.
How do I make so I (as the administrator) have complete control (it won’t let the admin be selected as a default author)? Then, I tried to create a few new posts (in my administrator dashboard profile) and it wouldn’t even allow me to be the author of my own posts, “somebody else” has to be selected. I don’t want to create a new user just to make my posts and pages under “his” name. it’s really ironic (and frustrating) that this “default author” I select is given ownership over my posts I create.
If anyone needs more details, I’d be happy to tell you more.
PS I’ve already tried posting in the wordpress forums, and haven’t gotten any help over there.
