Let's assume there's such a thing as an "ordinary human being". The ascension process affects them, too, for whether we want to or not, we are ascending with all the frequencies around us. In fact, before we became imbodied, we agreed to at least be a default assistant in the evolutionary process. For some, this could be illustrated as finally getting up enough nerve to go on the roller-coaster, but once strapped in and the cars begin to move, you change your mind. That's about the ONLY thing that changes, and the ride nonetheless moves ahead. WITH you. Reluctantly, you go through the experience, and at some point get off the ride...very changed.

Then there are those who have consciously agreed to imbody with certain instructions and intents. These are souls who have become experienced at the reincarnation stream, and are actually qualified to conduct certain functions to enhance, assure, or otherwise affect the evolutionary process. There are many types, but I'm interested at focusing on Indigo Children [Paranormal topic @ Halfway] and Chrystal Children.

The ascension process here can be very different than the "normal" souls', because it deals with larger files of perception, information, and experiences. It is also a defined protocal which should reveal much to the reader:

The Indigo Children are here to make all the dirty changes, address the dysfuntions, and set the ground work for the next wave of advanced spirits, the Chrystals. (Didn't that '60's group sing "He's A Rebel" ?) The important point I wish to make here is that once Indigos have performed a certain quota of their tasks, they are not discarded or forgotten; they are then guided to ascend into Chrystals, who themselves are ascending into the next higher frequency (Rainbow Chrystal). Thus, the Indigo is ascending on multiple levels unexperienced by the "normal" soul. It's a greuling process, and it has very specific symptoms.
