This may be a bit of a long-shot, but do you think you might have a subconscious limiting belief that you don't deserve getting everything you want? Perhaps that it makes you selfish, ro something?

Yes, I think that's in the mix RTWolf. Although, I wouldn't/don't make that quite my focus. I prefer to work on a the approach of spending time on seeing/feeling/aligning my goals. If you have clarity on your goals, and, importantly, spend a bit of time aligning yourself with those goals then you'll cut through the less-than-ideal options that present themselves.
And by cut through, I mean either say, no thank you very much immediately, then move on. Or, if you lack the strength to do that, then at least, be working the situation to position yourself to move beyond/through it as soon as you can.
The latter is, of course, a little easier said than done. In my experience, it requires keeping yourself on point, via good sleep, excercise, self-integrity (not maintaining this one damages focus I find) regular scripting/vision of goals and so forth. All those things that maintain good energy and cultivate spirit.
I can't speak for everyone but for me they are crucial. I was wondering how others keep themselves on point with their growth and aims.
