Shamou, my friend, you hit the nail right on the head, as usual.

The goal is not to be "less perfect," but rather to be comfortable in our own skin, recognizing perfection is rarely attainable.


The 80/20 rule has really been a life saver for me, since it prompts me to "let go" before my perfectionist tendencies send me on a rediculous, unproductive, and emotionally damaging crusade for something that does not exist.
