A very interesting experiment openeyes. I'm not about to rush out and try it, but I'm happy to learn from your observations.
From your comments I can see some comparisons with my experience of travelling around the world with only a backpack and the vaguest of plans. There was such a sense of freedom having only the essential material possessions and being able to go wherever the wind took me without worrying about such things as a mortgage.
