Steve's probably into the gigabytes per day range, but then, he's got hundreds of thousands of visitors. You won't need to worry about that for a while, yet.
And to be honest, it sounds like the plan you're describing in your post is a little too cheap for what it claims to offer; beware of deals that sound too good to be true. Most if not all webhosting companies oversell to a degree, knowing that most of their customers won't use even a tenth of their allocated resources, which frees the resources up for those who do actually use it. But, some web hosting companies oversell more than others.
(BTW, you've another post asking if you should buy a server yourself - no, no you shouldn't. Not yet, anyway - you'll just be getting yourself right in at the deep end with too little experience of running a website. By all means aim for it eventually, but take your time.)
