My family doctor and the doctor in the emergency department ruled out a stroke but eventually diagnosed me with "pressure headaches" which didn't explain the tingling sensation and advised me to take 2 advil every 4 hours.

My tingling was in my fingers and mid-point and forward in my skull down to my ears. The back of my head was fine but the front...ouch!!! I couldn't even towel dry my hair it was too painful. Historically I go to the doctors once per year for my yearly checkup and I might get one or two head-aches a year which have always been self- induced (too much wine) - I consider myself a healthy person so these headaches and tingling have appeared out of nowwhere.

After speaking with a friend he suggested I make an appointment with his kiniesologist / naturopath which I did. After I described all the symptons to him (similar to ones you described). He advised me it sounds as if I have a parasite. I original reaction was "Yuck" , then my next question was how did I get it? which he replied a number of ways such as visiting foreign countriesk drinking loads of tap water, not cooking food thoroughly, eating certain types of sushi. "He mentioned it was much more common that people realize.

He gave me a bottle of "Black Walnut Combination #1" produced by Genestra Brands (I think its about $25 in health food stores) and advised me to take 50 drops every morning with a small glass of water - it should be 30 minutes before my first meal. As a side note I don't work for Genestra just telling my story and what worked for me.

Today was my second visit and I can say most of the tingling has disappeared. I actually towel dried my hair today. I have gone from intense headaches all day to around two or three mild headaches throughout the day and most of the tinging is gone.

He mentioned it will take about 21 days to get rid of the parasite. I asked him if there was anything else I should do and he highly recommended I stay away from refined sugar.

Good Luck.
Hmmmm...it sounds interesting that he may have a parasite of all things....he can dry his hair without any problems...he does drink alot of sodas....could refined sugar cause the parasite, and if so, why hasnt it caused a similiar situation with me because we both drink alot of sodas everyday...

he is 27 years old, male, was in the military though not in Iraq (thank the Gods!!) his overseas location was a tiny minute island off the Pacific called Guam...lol he couldnt stand it being there for two years...he says the tingliness is very mild but can last all day when hes at work....usually in the past it would only happen to him while he was at work and go away when he got home, but he says lately hes been having face and finger tingliness at home too....

you think it could be carpal tunnel syndrome?? (for the fingers part??)
