Let it all go; Fear, Doubt and Disbelief I was just watching the Matrix and it got to the part where Neo is about to make "the first jump" and Morpheus said something that just resonated with me, "You have to let it all go: Fear, Doubt and Disbelief."
So I thought I would talk about it. It is my goal, my long term goal that is, to essentially redefine what it means to be a human and to put a sense of nobilty, honour and power into the human spirit again. As such this message meant a lot to me. I realised in a horrifying flash of comprehension that I was afraid, doubtful and in a constant state of disbelief. As such I stopped the DVD and off I went to ponder this.
I realised that it was a mental thing, not a physical thing (this is basic stuff for most people I know) and that the fear was within me (Again basic, something I actually knew but hadn't understood properly) and I wondered at the limits of our thinking. Is it gravity that stops me falling, or my belief in it? Just how capable are we, as humans, if we don't have fear?
And I guess I got nothing else to say really... |
