LoA, "allowing", and subjective reality
I'm currently reading the book Law of Attraction by Esther and Jerry Hicks and have read the chapter on "allowing" twice now. I'm currently trying to figure out my philosophies that work best for me in my reality and I'm stuck on how to look at the other people that flow in and out.
Before reading their book, I looked at people as a reflection of me and I tried to see what they were mirroring back that perhaps I thought about myself. What I gather from the book though, is that we need to allow others to be who they are in their reality. If I look at it this way, then they aren't part of my reality at all.
"They are that which they are, creators of their own life experience, attracting unto themselves, while I am creator of my experience, attracting unto me."
I just recently had an old friend visit and had a difficult time with her. She was very negative and judgemental and I'm trying to reconcile how I can learn from this situation and how can I look at it in a positive way. Do I look at her as a reflection of myself? Or do I just say that's her reality and it's not what I choose to have in mine? That seems to negate the whole subjective reality belief.
