I have searched the official "
Canadian Food Guide" for information on water intake... and, I could not find any... so, my guess is that they don't see it as being as an all important factor in good nutrition...
So, my guess is that you should drink a fair amount of water, as you say, but, trying to drown yourself will not help that much...
